Geld (Money) and Pass (Passport) and Notarized Permission Form:

  • Money

    • Please be sure to try any ATM, Credit, and Debit cards in the US before you leave. It won’t be fun to find glitches in Europe!
    • Notify your bank and credit card company that you are traveling abroad and tell them when. Some banks will freeze your funds if they see “suspicious” activity.
    • Make sure money is in the correct account so that you can get at it!
    • Leave your bank alternative contact information – eg. your parents – you’ll be hard to get a hold of in Germany/Austria!
    • Know your daily limits! (Cash withdrawal limits are different than daily spending limits!)
    • Know your PIN #’s – do not write them on the cards – leave them with your parents in the US as well.
    • Travelers Checks – Avoid these at all costs if possible – it’s difficult to find anyone to accept them – even in the US.
    • Your personal checkbook will NOT work in Europe.
  • Passports

    • Herr Mick must have a photocopy of your passport before we leave. You also need to leave one with your parents.
    • Passports must be carried with you at all times on the trip.
    • It is recommended that you get a travel neck pouch or waist pouch to carry your passport and money in. You are not to carry your passport in your pockets – this is essential!
  • Notarized Permission Forms
    • Herr Mickelson MUST receive your notarized permission form before departure. This ensures we travel as a group.
    • Notarized Travel Form – REQUIRED – DO NOT SIGN UNTIL YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF A NOTARY!

  • Phone Info:  Herr Mickelson’s number in Germany will be: 01578-5282584
—Dial it as (from US): 011-49-1578-5282584
